Public tours are typically offered on the last two Fridays of each month. Registration for our public tours open the first Friday of every month at 9 a.m. Tours are popular and spaces fill up quickly; we recommend registering as early as possible. The tour age requirement is 12 years of old and above. For individuals 12 to 17 years old, a parent or a legal guardian must register for them and join the minor for the entire duration of the tour.
Important reminders:
All adult guests coming on site are required to present a REAL ID–compliant form of identification (REAL ID driver's license, passport, or other acceptable forms). For detailed information about REAL ID requirements and a full list of acceptable forms of identification at SLAC, visit REAL ID at SLAC. Adult guests without a valid ID will be denied entry.
Closed-toed shoes must be worn.
In order for SLAC to provide a safe environment for the public and our employees, no bags larger than 12"x6"x12" will be allowed on-site. Exceptions to this policy will be made for all medically necessary items after proper inspection and for SLAC-badged staff. To join a public tour, you are required to follow all protocols and instructions from SLAC staff.
