Public Tour registration

SLAC offers free on-site public tours. Online registration is required. No phone calls or email requests to register will be accepted. Tours are popular and spaces fill up quickly, so we recommend registering as early as possible.

Public tours are typically offered on the last two Fridays of each month. Registration for our public tours open the first Friday of every month at 9 a.m. Tours are popular and spaces fill up quickly; we recommend registering as early as possible. The tour age requirement is 12 years of old and above. For individuals 12 to 17 years old, a parent or a legal guardian must register for them and join the minor for the entire duration of the tour. 

Important reminders:

  • All adult guests coming on site are required to present a REAL ID–compliant form of identification (REAL ID driver's license, passport, or other acceptable forms). For detailed information about REAL ID requirements and a full list of acceptable forms of identification at SLAC, visit REAL ID at SLAC. Adult guests without a valid ID will be denied entry. 

  • Closed-toed shoes must be worn.

  • In order for SLAC to provide a safe environment for the public and our employees, no bags larger than 12"x6"x12" will be allowed on-site. Exceptions to this policy will be made for all medically necessary items after proper inspection and for SLAC-badged staff. To join a public tour, you are required to follow all protocols and instructions from SLAC staff.
