Ali Sundermier

Science Communications Officer and Social Media Lead

Ali came to SLAC in 2018 from the University of Pennsylvania where she was a science writer. She covers very cool (or very hot, or sometimes room temperature) research happening at LCLS, the lab’s giant X-ray laser. She is also the social media lead, which explains the occasional bad pun or adorable animal pic on our channels. When she’s not working, you can probably find her helicopter parenting her three cats or pretending not to be afraid of bugs.
