Hillary Smith

Hillary joined SLAC in July 2026 as the lab’s media relations lead. She works to increase the lab’s visibility among the public and other groups by securing impactful media coverage. This means working with SLAC writers, scientists, and engineers to get the right story in front of the right people at the right time. Before SLAC, Hillary served as a public affairs specialist at NASA Ames and as a communications manager at NASA Langley. Special interests include learning new things and cuddling her dog Rigby.
